Super 6 Challenge 2014/15 : Week 14 Results

Things did pick up slightly in week 14 of the Super 6 Challenge.

Sort of.

I had two scores out of six correct in my Sky Soccer Saturday Super 6 entry. As part of my own Super 6 Challenge, I have been placing 50p bets on each of the scores I have guessed and have been keeping record of my profit and loss.

Here are the scores I entered along with the actual results in parenthesis.

1) Chelsea 3 WBA 1 (2-0)
2) Everton 2 West Ham 1 (2-1)
3) Leicester 1 Sunderland 1 (0-0)
4) Manchester City 2 Swansea 0 (2-1)
5) Newcastle 1 QPR 0 (1-0)
6) Stoke 2 Burnley 0 (1-2)

Newcastle's 1-0 win returned £3.75 and Everton's 2-1 victory secured £4.50. I also received a 50p refund from the Leicester vs Sunderland as part of Bet365's Bore Draw policy, the company refunds all correct score bets if the game ends 0-0.

I am now £3.76 in the red after 14 weeks. Not bad, but definitely not great!

Paddy Power Pays Out On Chelsea Winning The 2014/15 Premier League

Paddy Power Bookmakers have paid out on Chelsea winning the 2014/15 Premier League even though the season hasn't reached its mid-point.

The company announced that they have handed out £400,000 worth of winnings to punters who had backed the Blues to lift the Premier League trophy.

This isn't the first time the Irish bookie has paid out early on a Premier League winner.

In 2003, the firm settled Arsenal as winners with months to spare. The team had a twelve-point cushion at the top of the league at the time winnings were paid out. However, it was Manchester United who won that year forcing Paddy Power to pay out on the Red Devils as well.

This isn't the first time Paddy Power has settled Chelsea as eventual victors. In September of 2005, bets on Chelsea were settled. Unlike the Arsenal payout, the Blues did end up sealing victory eight months later.

Chelsea are currently four points clear of second-placed Southampton.
